An Individual Membership in the Locker Room Managers Association is $99.00 annually. Nearly every member has had their fee paid for by the club that employs them. Corporate Memberships - where multiple Locker Room Managers are working at several facilities owned by a given management company - are also available at reduced rates. Whatever type of membership is selected, Locker Room Managers will have access to a number of resources and privileges as outlined below. Again, please remember that the LRMA is not related to the National Locker Room Association in any way, shape or form.
Why join the Locker Room Managers Association?
- Members will have the unprecedented opportunity to email other Locker Room Managers (LRMs) in nearly 25 states across the nation, including the Lead LRM at one of the most famous golf clubs in the world as well as the LRMs at Tournament Players Clubs (TPCs). As many as 5 Locker Room Managers in other states are coming on board monthly.
- Instead of receiving snail mail newsletters that take days to arrive, members receive the Locker Room Managers Association Monthly e-Newsletter. It is emailed to the membership on the 1st of each month and works in conjunction with the web site. It contains material from many categories on the site as well as features that can be found nowhere else. The average e-newsletter contains 5-10 articles and columns and is about 20 pages in length.
- As soon as you join the LRMA, you will receive a Membership Certificate suitable for framing that you can proudly hang in or near your shoe room. Click here to view the certificate.
- Those who join the organization have access to 250+ articles on the web site on all facets of the profession, including shoe care and customer service tips. Articles currently available on the site include "How to Deal with the High Maintenance Member", "A Sneaky Way to Save on Amenities" and "How to Get Your Customers to Tip More Often. " Please see the Members Only page for a list of article/column categories.
- Two books,
THE GOOD STEWARD - How to Set Up and Operate a Shoe Room at a Country Club or Resort, and
THE GOOD STEWARD - How to Set Up and Manage the Locker Rooms at a Country Club or Resort are available for sale by clicking on the
"Fore Supply" Banner Ad on the Home Page. They will add to your skills and are written in an easy to understand narrative style.
They have been purchased by 500+ country clubs in Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas and every region of the United States. Both are authored by the President of the LRMA and are revised annually.
See the Books link for Tables of Contents and excerpts.
- The web site allows members to share what they have learned and send the information via email to the Association. It will then be posted quickly for the benefit of all LRMA members.
- The LRMA Home Page will give veterans and rookies in the trade a place to network and even post job opportunities for free. Again, employment opportunities will be posted immediately and removed when the job has been filled.
